ABSTRACT
This article focuses on acquisition deal between Erwin Wasey, Ruthrauff & Ryan (EWRR) and Interpublic Group of Cos. Inc. in 1963. The deal saw EWRR become a wholly owned subsidiary of Interpublic. As proprietor of a decentralized setup unique in advertising, Marion Harper Jr. has achieved the front-runner's spot, with his several marketing organizations billing $496.5 million altogether. Interpublic stated that it would welcome an examination of the separateness of EWRR by any client or prospect.
