ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the annual update on shoulder and elbow surgery based on presentations at the annual meetings of North American arthroscopy and orthopedic associations in the Chicago, Illinois. The increase of footprint contact pressure may aid in rotator cuff healing. A review of the Mayo Clinic experience with the prevalence, treatment and outcomes of deep infection following rotator cuff repair is also presented.
