ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the increasing number of customer service representatives (CSR) of business enterprises in the U.S. that are telecommuting. The benefits of telecommuting to business enterprises are presented. Several companies like Alpine Access, Convergys, ICT Group and LiveOps are offering at-home CSR. The factors that influence the penetration of the concept into the customer service practices of companies are discussed.
