ABSTRACT
The article comments on the yearly safety measures set by U.S. Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld to minimize accidents in naval aviations in 2008 in the U.S. It has been announced that mishap rates have reduced, however, the naval services fell short of meeting the aggressive accident reduction goals of Rumsfeld. The Army and Air Force also failed to meet the reduction targets in fiscal 2005 and 2006.
