ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the decision of the US Department of Commerce to impose anti-dumping duties on imports of staple polyester fibers from China. Reacting to a petition filed by American polyester fabric producers including DAK Americas, the dumping margins were calculated as ranging from 44.30 to 4.39 percent of the value of Chinese imports. As a result, US Customs and Border Protection will ask importers to pay duties before the finalization of antidumping duties in May 2007.
