ABSTRACT
The article describes attractions in Ethiopia, which is considered as having one of the richest historical sites and the largest number of World Heritage sites in Africa. Key attractions in the country include the town of Lalibela which has rock-hewn churches and the city of Aksum which keeps Christianity's most significant artefact, the Ark of the Covenant. Gondar is famous for ruins believed to be the Queen of Batsheba's palace, for King Fasilada's pool and the Debre Birhan Sellasie church.
