ABSTRACT
The crystal structure of the salt [Pt(NH3)5Cl]Cl3·H2O has been re-determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction and the salt has been studied by the thermal analysis. It is shown that one molecule of crystallization water enters into the salt composition. Intermediate products of thermal decomposition of the salt have been isolated and explored by IR spectroscopy and powder X-ray diffraction.
