ABSTRACT
The author's relates her experience of surviving an ethnic genocide that happened in a region near Kibuye City in Rwanda in 1994. A war emerged between the Rwandan Tutsi and the Hutu groups. Her family of the Tutsi heritage urged her to seek shelter in the home of a local pastor when the Hutu's Interahamwe militia came to their region. After the conflict, she met the leader of the gang that killed her family. She learned to forgive the accused and moved to the U.S. to start a family.
