ABSTRACT
The article presents updates on environmental policies that affect the chemical industry. Lanxess has said that a recent decision by the European Parliament to restrict the marketing and use of perfluorooctane sulphonate will not have an impact on its products for the leather industry. The Secretariat for the Strategic Approach to International Chemical Management has proposed that a business plan be developed for its Quick Start Programme.
