This article presents a story about a friendship that was formed out of charity. The friendship of Ryan Hreljac of Ontario, Canada and Akana Jimmy of Uganda is told in the book "Ryan and Jimmy and the Well in Africa That Brought Them Together." Upon learning the about the lack of clear drinking water in Uganda, Ryan raised money to help build a well in Jimmy's village. The money that was raised helped build more than 200 wells in eleven countries in Africa.
