The article reports that Wayne Thomas of Wayne Thomas Wines is the recipient of the 2006 Bushing King at the Commonwealth Bank McLaren Vale Wine Show in October 2006. The award is given to the producer of the best regional wine, selected from trophy-winning wines at the show. The entries for this year had increased with eight wines in the 2005 Shiraz class being awarded a gold medal.
