ABSTRACT
The article presents information related to the decision of Nucor Corp., a maker of special bar quality steel, to reopen its mill in Memphis, Tennessee that was acquired from Birmingham Steel. According to D. Michael Parrish, executive vice president for Nucor, the decision is good to build the most diverse, highest quality and lowest cost quality steel offering in North America.
