ABSTRACT
The article reports on the punishment meted out to travel agencies that failed to present their annual financial reviews (AFR) to the Travel Compensation Fund (TCF) in Australia. As part of their licensing agreement, agencies are required to report their end of financial year records to the TCF by September 30. Agents who have not filed their AFR by then receive a fine of $880. A further fine of $550 is imposed if the AFR still has not been filed by the end of October.
