Forbes Asia;12/11/2006, Vol. 2 Issue 21, p22
The article reports on the bid of Malaysia-based company Genting Group for the construction of the second megacasino resort in Singapore. With the lifting of the ban on casinos by the Singaporean government, the country intends to accommodate two of the world's most expensive casino resorts by 2009. Genting Group is the developer of the Genting Highlands casino resort in Malaysia which served 900,000 Singaporeans in 2004. Winning the bid would make the company more competitive for projects in other countries.
