The article focuses on the basics used in cutting the metal materials through laser. It could be noted that laser cutting has evolved over the past decade. This method has been proven to be a cost-effective method in producing parts out of sheet metal and plate. It has been stressed that metal technology add to its capacity, increase in speed and ease its use as the technology in the laser machine increases. It was also found out that most laser cutting machines employ a fast-axial-flow.
