ABSTRACT
The article reports on the support of travel companies to carbon offsetting project which aims to offset the carbon dioxide produced by flying through offsetting charge in Great Britain. Pioneers of the project, First Choice Holidays and Lastminute.com PLC, are encouraging payments by showing how much carbon dioxide a flight produces when people book. It is noted that carbon offsetting has come to the forefront of effort to cut travel's contribution to global warming.
