ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the emergence of the Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless (BREW) content delivery technology in Europe. The three main components of BREW are uiOne, deliveryOne and marketOne. Telecom Italia is planning to use BREW both for the user interface and to deliver 3 dimensional games to its subscribers. It is said that BREW publishers and developers have earned more than $700 million from the sale of their applications and service since BREW was launched.
