ABSTRACT
The article discusses Mark Harris, a 22-year-old from Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania who used the Internet in order to beat his district's five-term incumbent for the Republican party nomination for the state House of Representatives. The article focuses on how blog, social networking websites, and virtual communities such as Second Life have changed the way campaigns are run. The article also discusses former Virginia governor Mark Warner's campaigning on Second Life.
