In this article, W.A. Krause, "Convenience Store News" Hall of Fame inductee, discusses reasons for the success of Kum & Go. At the age of 15, he left his family's failed farm and hired himself out to a Quaker family for $10 a day. Krause's rags to riches story continued after college when he took a job with Continental Oil Co. He is writing all this in his autobiography "Don't Look Back, We're Not Going That Way."
