ABSTRACT
In this article, John Melo, president of BP PLC, presents tips for retailers to select the best fuel supplier. He believes that the worst thing for any retailer is to rely on just one fuel supplier. He said the choice should be based on the suppliers' terminal portfolios. In terms of execution, retailers should focus on what they're best at, be it real estate, the wholesale business or retail, rather man dabbling in all three.
