The article reports on the selection of principal Ellen Minette of the Heidelberg Middle School in Germany as the 2007 National Principal of the Year for Middle School. The Principal of the Year Program is being sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals and Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. Joseph Tafoya, director of the U.S. Department of Defense Education Activity, comments on the principal.
