ABSTRACT
As in every field, God imposes values with regard to food. Food is attributed with two different values: positive or negative. For Qur'an, only God has the authority to attaching values such as allowable or forbidden to food. Qur'an rejects all food prohibitions imposed by non-divine beliefs and traditions. Observing these prohibitions is, for Qur'an, a deviation from the belief of unity.
