ABSTRACT
The article reports that the global market for carbon fiber composites is expected to increase by 37 percent in 2010. The carbon fiber industry is poised to enter into a period of dynamic growth, driven by increased demand in the aerospace, wind energy, offshore oil and gas, pressure vessels and sports goods sectors according to a report from analyst Market Technology Publications. The report says that producers will invest more than $800m by 2009 to increase carbon fiber capacity by 78 percent and to meet the demand.
