Deficit will raise prices

The article deals with the plan of Methanex to raise its first quarter Methanex European Posted Contract Price by 15 percent. The hike will take prices to €460/tonne free on board Rotterdam. Philippe Arendt, director of marketing and logistics for Methanex Europe says that the acute deficit of material could continue into first quarter and second quarter.
