ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plans of Cytec Industries to build a new unit that will make water-based alkyds in its Wallingford facility in Connecticut. The plan will increase Cytec's ability to respond to customer needs in North America while the additional capacity will shorten the supply chain and strengthen the position of the company as the leader in water-based alkyd resins globally.
