ABSTRACT
This article reports that French company Geodis has acquired TNT Freight Management. The combined entity will have revenues of €4.4 billion with 26,000 staff worldwide. Pierre Blayau, Geodis' CEO, remarked that freight forwarding is an increasingly important activity in transport and logistics. The transaction, should close in quarter one 2007. BNP Paribas will organise a syndicated loan, part of which will cover a rights issue of around €150m to be launched
