ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the booming global cosmoceutical industry in 2006. Cosmetics that made health claims had become a rich seam for the industry to mine. In a study of the cosmeceuticals market, Freedonia identifies DSM, BASF and Cognis as the global market leaders in the manufacture of chemicals used in cosmeceutical products. As for other products that are flavour of the month, natural and botanic ingredients are gaining in popularity.
