ABSTRACT
The article presents information on ECM solution, a software based on open source technology for banks. The software has been made by Great Britain-based firm Alfresco. The software helps banks in their content management. Banks use open source solutions for managing lower-level banking applications. Many banks have become familiar with open source software, and have adopted Linux operating systems. However, open source is not a suitable option for back-office applications processing.
