ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the special foods eaten by people from different cultures during the holidays. Many people celebrate Diwali, a Hindu holiday, with sweets called mithai. Most people eat tamales, which are corn dough filled with stuffing and wrapped in corn husks, during the Latin American Christian holiday Las Posadas. Many people eat latkes or fried potato pancakes during Hanukkah, a Jewish holiday.
