ABSTRACT
This article reports on the development of installation procedures and best practices for ActiveMine wireless two-way voice communications and tracking system for underground miners by Active Control Technologies of Mississauga, Ontario. The initiative will use the ActiveMine work that has been installed previously. ActiveMine improves underground mining safety and operating deficiencies through wireless and electronic tracking of equipment and personnel. A manual for the installation and operation of the technology will be developed by Active Control.
