ABSTRACT
This article deals with the second annual RoadShow tour of film studios in the U.S. as of October 4, 1999. The Hollywood promotional consultancy Los Angeles Office in California has created the event help advertisers and marketers venture in film tie-ins. In this second tour, film studio executives has visited New York, Chicago, Illinois and Los Angeles to meet with ad agencies, promotion agencies and marketers and present to them information about promotional tie-ins for films through 2001. The RoadShow has already gained momentum since 1998 and in 1999 includes presentation from Columbia Pictures, DreamWorks SKG and Miramax Pictures among many others. However, some insiders revealed that the best tie-in opportunities are forged behind the scenes and through one-on-one relationships and not at mass presentations like the RoadShow.
