Stocking Stuffer

Frezon, Peggy
December 2006
Guideposts;Dec2006, Vol. 61 Issue 10, p26
The article presents the author's narrative about a handcrafted stocking made by her mother-in-law Betty. Adorned with an animal print fabric, the stocking is roomy enough to hold an abundance of treats. When Betty heard about the Rensselaer County Concerns-U, an organization that helps low-income families, she saw a perfect opportunity for the stocking. She traced the original stocking and sewed a dozen new ones. The next year she made more, and enlisted her quilting-club friends.
