ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the port of Puerto La Union in El Salvador. The port is designed to underpin the economic development of the country's eastern departments and as a viable alternative to the country's main Port of Acajutla to the west. The central area of the port will be bordered by two quay walls. The passenger and ro-ro terminal quay wall has twelve 19 meter-long, 14 meter-wide and 12 meter-high caissons.
