ABSTRACT
The article discusses the need for beef farmers to provide the needs of customers. According to beef manager Simon Jenner, marketing has a vital role to play in today's farming environment. The realisation that the heavy clay livestock farm with its long winters would prove expensive to run without subsidies was enough to challenge Jenner's mindset into taking advantage of different marketing opportunities for beef and lamb.
