ABSTRACT
The article describes the Pohakuloa Training Area of the U.S. Army at the foot of Mauna Kea volcano in Hawaii. The Quonset huts made of corrugated-metal buildings in the area were first used during World War II. The 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division was transformed by the U.S. Installation Management Command to a light-infantry unit to a Stryker brigade combat team.
