The article reports on the claim of Air New Zealand Ltd. that Qantas and itself have a combined total of 6,300 empty seats on the trans-Tasman route everyday, which is equivalent to 11 empty aircraft. The figure has disclosed as the airline presented its case for a codeshare agreement to aviation leaders in the New Zealand city of Rotorua.
