ABSTRACT
The article offers news briefs on the chemical business in Asia. South Korean oil refiner SK Corp. is considering a foray into China by teaming up with the state-run Sinopec. China is expected to launch more measures to promote biochemistry and bio-energy as a means to reduce conventional oil dependency and rein in polluting industries. Thailand's oil and gas major PTI Group recorded a 1.2% increase in profits after strong sales from petrochemical subsidies.
