ABSTRACT
The article reports on the increase in profits posted by Hungarian polyolefins producer TVK in the third quarter of 2006. Higher polymer prices and sales volumes enabled the company to achieve an operating profit of Forint 3.55 billion during the quarter. TVK said its integrated petrochemical margin calculated in euros rose by nearly 17%, compared with the second quarter this year. Average prices for polyethylene in Europe rose by 6 to 9%.
