ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of German fertilizer and salts business Kali und Salz to raise its full-year profits forecast for 2006. The move follows after delivering a 34% rise to €51.7 million in its third-quarter operating income. It now expects 2006 operating profits of € 275 million to € 285 million. Improvement was attributed to high fertilizer prices, positive currency hedging measures, increased efficiency and strong early purchases of de-icing salts.
