ABSTRACT
The article presents the author's comments on a study that finds effects of inhaling adjunctive insulin before meals. The study reveals that adjunctive inhaled insulin are helpful in improving glycemic control more than adjunctive metformin in type 2 diabetes mellitus. In the author's opinion, poor glycemic control may be caused by an unacceptable route of medication and fear of hypoglycemia.
