ABSTRACT
The article looks at how Delta Apparel Inc., the parent of M.J. Soffe Co., has agreed on an amount to acquire privately held Fun-Tees Inc., a maker of private label custom knit T-shirts, whose primary business is with major branded sportswear companies. The article states that the deal is expected to boost Delta Apparel's activewear segment sales and be accretive to per share earnings. Comments from Robert Humphreys, president and CEO of Delta Apparel, are presented.
