ABSTRACT
The article reports on the search launched by the $36.5 billion Teacher's Retirement System (TRS) of Illinois for an international equity manager following the results of an asset allocation study. The study will help TRS determine a source of funding for the mandate. Domestic equity manager Mazama Capital Management will be monitored on its $113 million small-cap growth account for poor performance. Pyramis Global Advisors was placed on watch for a $1 billion international equity portfolio.
