This article provides information of the development and deployment of clinical decision support (CDS) tools in Alberta. The principles, which are developed to guide the deployment of CDS in the province, clearly defines the technical expectations for health information vendors. These expectations highlights how health information products should cooperate to support decision-making by clinicians.
