ABSTRACT
The article reports on the plan of Adcuram Industriekapital to expand the injection press manufacturing operations of Battenfeld Kunststoffmaschinen GmbH to make its position strong in technology and marketing. Battenfeld was bought by Adcuram on October 13, 2006 from SMS GmbH AG. Thomas Probst, CEO of Adcuram, said that Adcuram likes to buy units of larger manufacturing companies that are considered noncore by their parents.
