The article discusses the unique strategy for structured finance investing of Putnam Investments called Structured Opportunities strategy. According to Rob Bloemker, managing director, portfolio manager and team leader at Putnam, the strategy tends to be risk adverse and can hold up against market turbulence. The risks to be considered are prepayments and structured credit risk.
