Texas Teachers Selects New CIO

The article reports that the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) chose T. Britton Harris as chief information officer (CIO). According to Howard Goldman, spokesman for TRS, the board selected Harris and authorized the executive director of the plan to offer the position to Harris. Harris served as president and CIO of Verizon Investment Management Corp. and CEO of Bridgewater Associates before landing the job in TRS.
