The article presents the goals and objectives of keyword formation and searching activities. The cognitive goal is to enable students to choose terms that will provide keyword entry to information within two minutes and its objectives are to enable students to identify keywords in a sentence and to use them as entry words in a print index. The affective goal is to make students comfortable with formulating keywords and keyword searching.
