ABSTRACT
This article reports that Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) has increased its profit for the first nine months of 2006. The bumper profits were attributed to starting commercial operation of a butanediol plant this year, which saw a 10% increase in the raw material to 821,000 tonnes/year following increased sales. Sipchem posted a net profit of 98.5 million Saudi riyals in its third quarter, ending September 30.
