ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the move by mobile telecommunications carrier T-Mobile USA to upgrade its network to third generation (3G) technology. T-Mobile, the last national carrier in the U.S. to adopt a 3G technology, uses the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System/High-Speed Downlink Packet Access, the same technology that Cingular Wireless has been using.
