ABSTRACT
The article reports that Justin Fisher, former soldier convicted in connection with the murder of another soldier because he was believed to be gay, was released from a local halfway house. Fisher was released on October 24, 2006 based on information from the parents of the victim, Pfc. Barry Winchell. Fisher was given a 12.5-year sentence for lying to investigators. Pvt. Calvin Glover was sentenced to life in prison for murdering Winchell.
